Known for its Civil War history, Prince William County has some incredible monuments and iconic sites that you cannot miss, one of which is Manassas National Battlefield Park. Home of the First and Second Bull Run, over 5000 acres of land is divided into 40 miles of hiking trails for you to follow in the footsteps of the 19th century soldiers. Trailside markers give you in-depth context to the conflict that occurred here. If you’re a history geek, good luck getting a more immersive experience than this one. Another must-see spot is the National Museum of the Marine Corps. Situated next to the Marine Corps Base Quantico, this place is packed with interactive exhibits and artifacts that show the hefty history of America’s troops.
